Job Duties:
• Greet any fellow employees and guests you encounter with a smile.
• Keep all equipment and work areas clean and safe and in proper working order at all times.
• Mow greens, tees, collars, aprons, fairways and rough.
• Perform daily bunker maintenance.
• Golf course setup including setting tees, location markers, and cutting pins.
• Spray chemicals under the direct supervision of a certified pesticide applicator.
• Prepare divot mixes and divot the golf course.
• Move and replace cart control barriers as necessary.
• Perform cart path maintenance as necessary.
• Any type of manual labour required in maintaining the golf course along with construction and renovation projects.
• Report all findings of dry spots, diseases, weeds, insects and any other areas of concern.
• Operate equipment including specialized equipment safely following procedures.
• Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of maintenance equipment on a daily basis.
• Keep all equipment and work areas clean and in proper working order at all times.
• Return all equipment to the designated location in the maintenance compound once it has been properly cleaned.
• Reports equipment problems or failure to the Head Mechanic immediately.
• Fills out equipment checklist.
• Follow opening and closing procedures.
• Take part in any fire or evacuation drills and ensure complete familiarization with all exits, including those normally used by guests, as well as fire escapes.
• Be continually aware of and maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress.
• Attend meetings and training courses as required.
• Any other duties as assigned.

• Previous turf care experience
• Driver’s License
• High school diploma or GED an asset
• Ability to perform manual labour for extended periods of time
• Capable of operating machinery and equipment
• Able to work in a team environment
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
• Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
• Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Able to work well under pressure
• Strong attention to detail
• Professional appearance and manners
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Ability to work flexible hours including some split shifts, especially early mornings
