The Willows Golf & Country Club is looking for Assistant Professional to join us for an un-fore-gettable golf season.

Wondering what this Assistant Professional position actually does?

As a Pro Shop Manager/Assistant Professional you will be a key member of the team that have the drive and desire to learn all aspects of the golf business and grow as a professional. You will be responsible for managing the Pro Shop while assisting the outside operations of the Golf Course. Here are a few of the duties, we will discuss more in person:

You will assist with supervising, hiring and scheduling the outside service team
Assist all club events, leagues and tournaments to ensure they are an ongoing success to enhance guest loyalty.
Assist in developing and teaching a junior program and golf academy.
Conduct private lessons as required.
Assist with club fittings and repairs
Support and assist with day to day golf shop operations such as inventory management, merchandising, tee time management and point of sale operation.
Responsible for personnel matters including supervision, scheduling and employee development.

Does that sound like you? We’d be even more thrilled if you also had some experience with the following:

The ideal candidate would have 2-4 years’ experience in a similar role.
Previous experience with merchandising and retail would be a bonus!
Knowledge of point of sale systems and cash handling
Teaching and playing skills is pretty much a must!
PGA member an asset but not required
